Its Saturday and you found the one. A clean BMW on a lot in Lawrenceville, or a Mercedes on a Facebook listing out in Loganville, low miles, fresh detail. The seller says it just needs a sensor. Maybe. Or maybe somone cleared the codes on Friday. A pre-purchase inspection here in Snellville tells you wich one before you pay.

Factory Scan of Every Module

Engine, transmission, ABS, airbags, suspension, body computer, all of it, on ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS or PIWIS. A seller can clear a code, but the histroy stays. Our auto engine diagnostic shows what was stored, how often and at what mileage. A light that comes back is no surprize to you.

Oil Leaks and Cooling System

German engines leak from the same places: valve cover gaskets, oil filter housings, oil pan seals. Plastic cooling parts go brittle with age, and a expansion tank or water pump on its last legs is a tow truck waiting to happen. We check it all on the lift and presure test the cooling system.

Suspension and Brakes Measured

Control arm bushings, ball joints, shocks and struts get pried on and cheked for play. Pads and rotors are measured against the factory minimum, not guessed at. The seller's "brakes are fine" usualy means nobody looked. A car that needs a full brake job changes the price.

Tires, Body and Paint

Uneven tire wear tells us about alignment or worn suspention before the seller does. We check tread and date codes on all four. Then we go over the body for paint work: panel gaps, overspray, a panel a diffrent shade. A repaired hit is not always a deal breaker, but you should no about it.

Service History and CARFAX

We read the CARFAX with you and match it to the car. Do the oil change sticker agree? Do the reciepts cover the timing chain, the transmission fluid, the coolant hoses? On a German car the paperwork is worth a lot, and a thick folder is the best sign their is.

Test Drive and Written Report

Then we drive it. Cold start, idle, a hard pull, braking from speed, every shift up and down. A car that hunts for gears on Scenic Highway has a story the scan hasnt told yet. It all goes into a writen report with photos, so you can haggle with facts or walk away.

Great price

The team was professional, honest, and took the time to explain everything they were doing. They did an absolute 10/10 job, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. How do I set up a pre-purchase inspection?

Call with the year, model and where the car is. Ask the seller too bring it here to Snellville, or drive it over yourself. A dealer who refuses an outside inspection has told you something alredy.

What does a pre-purchase inspection cover?

Can you tell if the car was in an accident?

Usually. Paint work leaves clues: panel gaps that dont match, overspray on trim. We are not a body shop, but we have seen thousends of these cars and we write down what looks off. Get the CARFAX to, and compare.

The seller says it just needs a sensor. Is that true?

Sometimes. But "just a sensor" is the most common line in used car ads, and the factory scan shows what the light was realy for. If it points to a misfire or a timing chain, that sensor is the least of your worrys.

Do you inspect cars from dealers as well as private sellers?

Yes, and from auctions to. Most dealers around Lawrenceville and Snellville will let a car go out for an independant inspection. We call you as soon as the report is ready, so you can decide before someone else does.

Is a pre-purchase inspection worth it on a cheap car?

Its worth more on a cheap one. A low price on a German car usually means somthing is coming: a timing chain, a transmission service, a cooling system. The inspection tells you which, so you know if the bargin is real.
