Audi Quattro AWD service in Snellville, GA — Haldex fluid service, Torsen differential maintenance, rear differential fluid, and full drivetrain diagnostics. We keep your Quattro system working the way Audi intended.
The Quattro system is one of the most capable AWD systems ever built — but only when properly maintained. We service every component of the Quattro drivetrain.
Audi's Quattro system comes in two completely different designs — Haldex for transverse engines and Torsen for longitudinal engines. Most shops don't know the difference. We do, and we service both correctly.
Haldex Quattro is used on transverse-engine Audi models (A3, TT, Q3, and Golf R platform vehicles). It uses an electronically controlled clutch pack to send power to the rear wheels on demand. Torsen Quattro is used on longitudinal-engine models (A4, A6, A8, Q5, Q7) and uses a mechanical torsen differential that continuously distributes torque. Both need periodic maintenance — but the service procedures and parts are completely different.
Audi recommends Haldex fluid and filter changes every 25,000–40,000 miles depending on the generation. In practice, many owners skip this service entirely, which leads to Haldex pump failure. A pump replacement is a $600–$1,200 repair that's almost entirely preventable with regular fluid changes.
Signs of a Quattro system issue include an AWD warning light, the car behaving like front-wheel drive in slippery conditions, vibration or clunking during tight low-speed turns, or a VCDS fault code related to the Haldex controller or rear differential. If you notice any of these, bring it in before the system fails completely.
Yes. A Haldex pump that fails while the system is trying to engage can damage the clutch pack and internal components. More commonly, a neglected Haldex system simply stops engaging the rear wheels — turning your Quattro into a front-wheel-drive car without any warning. Regular fluid service is cheap insurance.
Yes. We service the full Audi performance lineup including S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, RS3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7, and the TT RS. Performance Quattro variants often have sport differentials and torque vectoring systems that require specific diagnostic software and fluid specs — we have both.
For Haldex vehicles: fluid and filter change, Haldex controller scan, and pump operation test. For Torsen vehicles: rear differential fluid change, center differential inspection, and driveshaft/CV joint check. We always start with a diagnostic scan to check for stored fault codes before recommending any fluid services.
